Important information:

Wear and Tear Items

Some components including cords, chains, cord locks, tilters, zips and side splines (Ziptrak) suffer wear and tear in the normal course of operation or through excessive use. Such items carry a 3 year warranty only.

Fabric “V”ING

Large width roller blinds wider than 2400mm and/or longer than 2800mm, could show the effect of “V’ing. This effect is predominant on all large blinds. To reduce this effect, consider splitting the blind into smaller widths and/or multi-linking blinds together.

Patterns

Textured or directional fabrics may not have the warp (vertical) or weft (horizontal) yarns travelling perfectly perpendicular to each other. Some deviation from the pattern or texture will exist. You should expect to see variations of up to 30mm in the direction of the pattern from one side of the blind to the other.

Railroading and Cupping

Selected Interlux Design fabrics can be railroaded. Railroading fabric often leads to curling or cupping of the outer edges of the blind. Railroading of the fabric changes the appearance of the blind, which is more pronounced in textured fabrics.

Light Gaps

All roller blinds allow light to pass around the sides of the fabric (even when blockout fabric is used). This is because the overall width of the blind including it’s brackets is always wider than the fabric width. Light Gaps are most prominent when a blind is fitted inside a window recess. Face fitting may be a better option than reveal fitting, however, the only way that light gaps can truly be minimised is to use hardware systems that utilise side channels.

Material Joins

Some blind sizes may require fabric to be joined. Depending on the material and type of join used, this may result in either visible pinholes through the join, or a solid band across the width or length of the join.

Puckering

Some wider width blinds will exhibit a deviation across the width of the fabric and is considered normal.

Motors

All motors offered by Interlux Design carry a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Interlux Design will pass on the manufacturers specific warranty related to the relevant motor supplied for each product. The cost of electrical works to disconnect and reconnect motorised products that require servicing or replacement under warranty is the responsibility of the customer.

Fabric roll-off

Fabric roll-off can occur on all roller blinds. This is an inherent nature of fabric and blinds under 500mm in width. This is not covered under warranty, all blinds are, checked & tuned both in the factory before they leave and on site by the installer on the day of installation. The main causes for roll-off are blinds being left down with windows open, pulling at the edges of the fabric and any insects being caught up in the fabric as it is rolling.

No extensions to Warranty period

Repairs carried out or replacements provided under this Warranty do not extend the relevant warranty period, and do not initiate a new warranty period. The warranty period for any replacement parts or new Goods installed will end together with the initial Warranty.

Servicing Fee

Interlux Design offers servicing of all blinds that fall beyond the stipulated warranty period. Servicing is limited to Interlux Design manufactured products only (original proof of purchase is required). Interlux Design will charge a $65.00 service fee to attend a premises to inspect goods that are the subject of a service request. The service fee does not include any additional labour or parts required.
