This is because you buy direct from the manufacturer, and by buying your blinds through Interlux you are supporting an Australian owned business and supporting local jobs. Don’t be fooled by the price though – our products are of great quality.
Each window covering is created from scratch, tailored to suit your window and requirements. Interlux does not offer “cut down” blinds all of our blinds are 100% made to order, we strive for a higher quality level. We check measure every window down to the millimetre and our consultants use their experience and expertise to deliver the best result.
We require a nominal deposit at the placement of order. The balance of payment is due on installation. We accept all major credit cards, eftpos, as well as bank cheque, money order and cash. Interlux Design also offers interest free options. Contact one of our consultants for further details if you would like to take up these payment terms.
Every customer is different and we try offer blinds to suit everyone’s budget, home decor, light & privacy requirements along with ease of operation. If you require a recommendation, feel free to visit our showrooms or contact us to discuss your requirements.

We aim to have most fabric swatches available for you to keep with you. These are available upon request from one of our in-store consultants.
With every house lot purchased we will supply one blind (roller blind) free of charge. Only one offer per household.
Our lead times are somewhat dependent on current workloads, however we generally complete installations within 3-4 weeks of receipt of deposit. Lead times for Plantation shutters is generally 8-10 weeks. Our staff can generally advise this upon confirmation of your order.
Interlux promotes the use of easy care fabrics and finishes. Our staff are always happy to provide advise on the appropriate care for of your Interlux manufactured blinds.
Wash and clean with soapy warm water using a soft broome or brush. PVC material can be scratched so avoid abrasive materials. Hose off and dry with a soft cloth. Twice a year use a PVC Polish. This gives extra protection and a longer life. Regularly spray silicon on all tracks and running gear to ensure smooth operation. Avoid using mowers etc near the blinds, roll them up. Flying debris can cause permanent marks. Do not roll up blinds when wet as it may cause 'fogging'. As a guide when there is a wind warning (50kph & over) roll up your blind to avoid damage.
In most instances our customers elect us to not only manufacture their blinds but to also install them. Make use of our experience and benefit from the fact that your blinds are covered under a full warranty. In instances which you would prefer to install we are more than happy to provide you with the step by step instructions and advice.
All our blind products are manufactured and fitted to conform with the Federal Government Child Safety Regulations.
We can provide motorisation options for most types of blinds and plantation shutters. Information can be provided upon request from one of our in-store consultants.
Interlux warrants its window coverings for a period of three years from date of installation. Once we have validated a warranty claim (including the claim issue and confirming the claim is within the warranty period), Interlux will replace or repair the product at no expense to the customer under the Manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty does not apply to blinds or parts thereof which fail due to accident, alterations, improper use, abuse, neglect, normal wear, failure to follow instructions for measuring and installing or operating the product, or for products that for outside the manufacturer’s specification.
1. Sample colours may vary from the finished product due to dye lot variations/natural product variations, paint or stain variations. 2.Small imperfections may occur in the fabric. 3. Settling of products e.g. wrinkles can take approximately 3 months to settle. 4.Matching braids and fringes is at the discretion of production and colour may vary from batch to batch. 5.Colour coordination is at the discretion of production i.e. Brackets 6.Venetians are not a full blockout product. Large venetians do not close tightly and are not recommended for total privacy. 6.Oversized blinds may contain a horizontal join. 7.Narrow roller blinds less than 500mm in width and venetian blinds less than 300mm in width will have to be manually assisted in lifting and lowering. 8.Due to the nature of the materials roller blind fabrics may not sit evenly. 9.Roman blinds with different size drops will have different size panels. 10.Roman blinds may drop up to 40mm and is factored in the installation. Fabric drop can take approximately 3 months to settle. Roman blinds can pucker and ripple. 11.Common pelmets or fascias over 2000mm may have a join. 12.Midrail heights on plantation shutters will vary depending on the number of louvers that fit into that panel. Variation up to 50mm from the requested height is normal. 13. Panel Blinds and vertical blinds have overlaps that may allow light to penetrate. Operation: 14.Blinds may require assistance in lowering or raising. 15.Blinds when rolled up for extended periods of time can contain a memory. 16.Bottom rails may not always sit square when rolled up. 17.Roman blinds on corner windows may not be able to be stacked up at the same time. 18.Panel glides may encroach on the window when stacked back 19.Chainless vertical slats will take longer to settle after each use. Installation: 20.If a check measure is required delivery time may be altered 21.It is the customers responsibility that all existing window coverings are removed. Interlux reserves the right to charge for labour at a rate of $10.00 per window. 22.Installing of products higher than 3mts above the ground are subject to charges relating to access, scaffolding, scissor lifts etc. 23.In the event of out of square windows Interlux will adjust the product accordingly however will not be responsible for uneven light gaps. 24.Butting or corner blinds will have a light gap. 25.The customer is responsible for all electrical work, where required, by a registered electrical contractor. 26.Blinds fitted in the recess will have top, bottom and side gaps depending of the product and the squareness of the window. 27.Recess Blinds may interfere with the removal of fly screens. 28.Products fitted on the face or top fixing are measured to allow for gaps at the bottom. 29.Interlux is not responsible for delay from products due to third party supply. 30.Storage fees of products due to customer delays will require storage fees calculated at 20% of the invoice amount per month.
Interlux blinds are custom made to your exact specifications, and as such they are not suitable for re-sale or restocking. Please be sure that you check all details thoroughly before finalising your order. A consultation fee is forfeited upon cancellation of order.

When operating blinds with chain winders the chain should be held in a vertical posistion to ensure that fabric is not damage, noise is limited in use, and the blind with lift evenly.
Removal: Retract pin by rotating the grooved wheel anti-clockwise until the pin retracts. Installation: Insert chain winder onto the tab of the chain winder bracket. With the chain side installed, slide tube into the opposite bracket, turn grooved wheel until pin retracts into slot. Inserting chain: Loosen (not remove) chain cover. Slide chain between cover and chain wheel. Tighten cover.
